LOS ANGELES (AP) — Michael Moore wants voters in Pennsylvania to cast their ballots for Barack Obama.
Moore endorsed Obama in a 1,100-word posting on his Web site Monday. It includes praise for the Illinois senator and harsh words for Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Democratic Party and the Bush administration.
Lamenting the lack of a valid primary in his home state of Michigan, Moore writes that Obama's experience and voting record aren't as important as his "basic decency" and ability to inspire.
"What we are witnessing is not just a candidate but a profound, massive public movement for change," Moore writes. "My endorsement is more for Obama The Movement than it is for Obama the candidate."
The 54-year-old Oscar-winning filmmaker was hardly as kind to Clinton.
"Over the past two months, the actions and words of Hillary Clinton have gone from being merely disappointing to downright disgusting," he writes, saying that she has tried to "smear" Obama — "Like you were nuts. Like you were a bigot stoking the fires of stupidity."
Most of Moore's ire is directed at the Bush administration "and the permanent, irreversible damage it has done to our people and to this world."
"I, like the majority of Americans, have been pummeled senseless for eight long years," he writes. "That's why I will join millions of citizens and stagger into the voting booth come November, like a boxer in the 12th round, all bloodied and bruised with one eye swollen shut, looking for the only thing that matters — that big 'D' on the ballot."
Moore says he is disappointed with the Democratic Party, too, for failing to end the war despite public outcry and for "doing the bidding of the corporate elite in this country. Any endorsement of a Democrat must be done with this acknowledgment ..."
Moore declined to elaborate further when contacted by The Associated Press

Michael Moore is so incredibly far to the left of where so much of America is?
That it was predictable that he'd pick his exact moment to try and undermine what today will be for Hillary-- a solid victory in Pennsylvania. Obama has been royally screwed by his pastor, and even as ANY advisor to his campaign should have had him LEAVE that church immediately, and join ANOTHER church immediately? His own advisors have not done that, and he will not DO that. Indeed, his pastor remains this father like figure in his mind, and he has no intentions of leaving the reverend traitor in his past. He's BLOWN, and the dumbasses in the far left do NOT EVEN REALISE IT.
Obama is a deflated tire. He has no chance of winning in Pennsylvania, and Pennsylvania is a microcosm of what he'll face in a national election. I think Hillary will win the state so decisively that the state ITSELF... will have sent the democratic party a signal, and hopefully the Berkeley bozos, Hollywood hacks, and the seaboard sillies in the party will take note.
Michael Moore's endorsement at this time only shows how powerful the far left has BECOME in the democratic party. With a more moderate (and infinitely more winnable) candidate about to win a huge state? The far left finds another far leftist to 'load up' behind Obama-- double down on a loser even as he has already lost.
Hillary can get SOOOOO many more voters than Obama can get; look at her page on womens issues and watch the video.

She's so much better than Obama as a candidate I'm flabberghasted with the modern political left.
You are going to run a 46 year old guy who has not even served ONE term in the U.S. Senate? You are going to run a guy who sat in the pews for 20 years listening to a racist jackass like reverend Jeremiah Wright? A guy who said 'those poor rural dolts in Pennsylvania won't vote for me because they cling to God and guns?' A guy whose wife has said nothing but disturbing things and has ZERO charisma? A man who will not put his hand over his heart when the national anthem is being played?
He's gonna go over like a screen door on a submarine.
The far left in America needs to be sitting on a couch talking to a shrink. You're so out of touch at this point? You deserve to lose, and unless you run Hillary? YOU WILL.
