It's one thing to make mistakes when you are YOUNG, and all of of us HAVE. It's another thing altogether to live out your life,

and then completely BLOW IT APART... at age 59. This fool is going to die in prison, and he thought he was a 'high roller' down't the casinos in Tunica. Ask yourself if gambling in casinos..... is worth the risk of ADDICTION... TO gambling.

Memphis, Tennessee's karaoke-singing killer will now have a truly captive audience. Cops in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida located Joseph Leroy Crouch who was using the alias Jay Nelson at a condominium complex and made the arrest on March 15, 2003. His arrest marks the 747th capture for the America's Most Wanted.

AMW's hotline operators had received numerous tips placing Crouch in the Daytona Beach area since the alleged fugitive murderer was featured on AMW in February of 2003. Tipsters reported sightings of Crouch at karaoke bars all along the Gulf Coast. Authorities were just a step behind Crouch until a tip came in placing Crouch at the Beach Club Condominiums. Daytona Police followed up on the information early on that Sunday, and when they arrived on the scene, they discovered the silver Mercury Sable that belonged to Crouch's dead wife. A SWAT Team was called in to make the arrest. The team stormed the room where Crouch was staying and quickly took him into custody.

Gambling Habit Leads to Bank Robberies
59-year-old Joseph Leroy Crouch Jr., a prominent businessman and a family man in North Memphis, was wanted for the brutal murder of his wife of 40 years, Betsy Crouch. Investigators say Crouch was a high roller who gambled his company's money away. Cops also say that by June 2001, Crouch's double-life was starting to crash in on him. According to officials, he had gambled all of the company's money away and was heading towards bankruptcy. On June 25th, 2001 after an afternoon of golfing, police say Crouch shot his wife Betsy four times while she lay in bed. He then took the keys to her new 2000 Mercury Sable and unloaded Betsy's golf clubs, so that he could put his own clubs in the trunk. He claimed that he didn't want her to suffer the embarrassment of the company going into bankruptcy.

At the time of his arrest, Crouch admitted to police that he was surviving by committing a string of armed robberies all over the state of Florida. Cops believe he was robbing different locations all over the state to support his gambling habit.

In July, 2003, Joseph Crouch pled guilty to the charges of killing his wife. He received a life sentence which he immediately began serving. The 61 year-old is not eligible for parole for 51 years. At his sentencing, Crouch admitted "that was not likely to happen," as he now expects to die in prison.
