The primary reporter for my hometown newspaper, in middle tennessee, is frequently, unintentionally hilarious.

Read his op-ed on Bonnaroo for perhaps his best work EVAH:

Good lord, is he 87 or something? He should have stayed home and covered the church league softball tourney.

i like the part where he says "i must not be hip anymore."

i get the impression this guy was never less than a 5-day hike from hip.

What is this guy's full-time gig? Wingnut blogger?

Anyone who has a claim on "hip" would never give an erstwhile commentary on "Bush Derangement Syndrome."

He's the #1 reporter for a real, daily newspaper called The Shelbyville Times Gazette in Bedford County, TN

Yes sir, that's my baby, a LEFTIST whom Bush did bad, bad things to.

And a lecture on beer drinking? Geesh....

So, the ability to type is apparently the only real qualification required to be a "reporter"?

" One thing I hope many young people learned this weekend is that drinking vast amounts of beer does not help you when the heat index is topping 100 degrees. Alcohol dehydrates you and makes matters worse. Perhaps the long wait at the porta-potty, with hundreds of people lined up all doing a kidney-inspired dance, will be a valuable educational experience"

ha ha ha...I passed out at the first bonnaroo due to dehydration. It sucked, I was front row for the String Cheese Incident and BAM I was out like a mother fucker. This year...I made sure that I drank a lot of beer and water.
